FARMER'S COOP
Seen from miles away in the Iowa Falls skyline is the Farmer's COOP elevator.
Farmer's COOP began business at this location in 1906. Farmers had delayed
starting the elevator business in difference to J.S. Smith who had run an
elevator in Iowa Falls for many years and who had helped many a farmer in
Pioneer Days.
The elevator is between the former Illinois Central depot, and as shown here,
the former Rock Island depot, now Union Pacific.
